A dramatic scene at twilight outside the Ravoux Inn as Vincent, wounded, clutching his belly, approaches the entrance. The weather had been very fine on the day of the shooting, but we added in clouds in the twilight sky to add depth to the shot. Adeline Ravoux (Eleanor Tomlinson) is first to notice the figure of Vincent stumbling along the Auvers-Sur-Oise high street. Beautifully painted by one of our star Black and White painters, Karol Nienartowicz, who since finishing on Loving Vincent has been traversing the mountains of Europe creating incredibly dramatic mountain photography.
