A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, United States, Shuchi was initially a software engineer by profession. With her growing interest in fine arts, she decided to attend weekend workshops and classes where she learned human anatomy as well as a classical technique of oil painting practiced by the Dutch Masters. Under the guidance of her teachers, she learned to capture the beauty of various subjects in their truest form. She always prefers painting from life and follows the indirect method of painting still life and portraits. Her paintings have been exhibited in national and International shows, including the Royal Watercolor Society of United Kingdom, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in India, and Sztuka Wyboru in Poland. She is also a member of the Portrait Society of America and once won merit scholarship for their conference.
She is very grateful to the crew at Loving Vincent for giving her a chance to work on the film. It was a joyous moment for her to be selected as one of the 125 artists worldwide. She loved the time spent at the studios where she met some incredibly talented artists and made some life long friends. It was also the first time she learned how to animate.
