Yannis studied fine arts at the Athenian School of Fine Arts and worked from an early age as a Byzantine Icon Painter with his father. He also has worked in education and has participated in many group exhibitions in Athens.

''My experience of  the film was both something completely new and at the same time something that I already knew well because it was oil painting. I had a great time working on this film and especially for a painter who lives in Greece, during the crisis, it was fun. I made many friends in the Athens studio from all around the world."
