Ryan Chapman

Ryan Chapman is an illustrator and fine artist based in Collinsville in the USA. He paints primarily in oil, painting still life and landscape scenes from life.

Ryan studied Illustration at the University of Hartford in where he received a BFA in fine art. He has participated in several exhibitions at the Silpe gallery in Connecticut, and at the Galleria Di Palazzo Vagnotti in Cortona, Italy. His work was most recently included among the finalists in the 2016 international ARC Salon.

Ryan heard about this project through a friend on Facebook, and after applying, purchased a one-way ticket to Poland and spent the next 6 months working on the film in Greece and Poland. Most of the scenes he painted were of “The Old Man” based on Van Gogh’s “Patience Escalier” painting currently on display in the Louvre.
