Daria Solar took to art in early childhood in Lodz, Poland, where she received her first tutelage from her mother, an amateur artist. Later in life, while pursuing professional career in education, the artist kept on painting under the patronage of Professor Ryszard Hunger [Lodz Academy of Arts - ASP]. Later her mentor was Professor Andrzej Chojnacki, a dean of the ASP, as well as Graphic Design Department at the College of Computer Science where Daria completed a post-graduate computer-graphics course. Yet, her passion is painting in oil, so she has been building her magical realist worlds that she considers her favourite, on canvas.
