Goce Ilievski

Goce Ilievski is artist from Skopje, Macedonia, experienced in contemporary, traditional, and digital art forms. He has held 12 solo exhibitions, and participated in many group exhibitions in Macedonia, Germany, Austria, Iceland, Turkey and Bulgaria. Goce has won many awards for oil painting, watercolor and photography from numerous institutions and countries. In 2011 he won the award “Golden Brush” for painting from the Society of Visual Artists of Macedonia.

Light is the essence of his work. An oil based artist, he works with everyday life subjects, through which he wants to show that there is movement behind all matter in the Universe, and behind every shown colour and shape in it, there is far more complex and deeper energy and meaning. Inspired by the masters of light and colour in art history, amongst which Van Gogh takes special place, he enjoyed taking part in the creation of Loving Vincent.
