Yaroslav is a professional painter practicing in many areas, in particular copies and portraits.

Animation has interested him for many years, and on Loving Vincent Yaroslav worked on both shot styles: colour portraits and black and white. Yaroslav took to animation like a duck to water, amazing everyone at the studio at his speed and precision. Despite only being on the production for 8 months he animated nearly one and a half minutes of the film.
