Olena Horhol was studying in the Lviv National Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts in Ukraine when she was accepted to join the Loving Vincent team. She planned to specialise in textile design, making cloths and weaving tapestries, but she loves painting most of all so she left her studies to paint our black and white style paintings for the film. She was the most prolific animator in the Wroclaw unit, painting over one minute of the film in her 8 months on the production.
