Born in Berlin, Charlene Mosley is a San Diego based artist and muralist. She received her BA in Studio Arts from San Diego State University. Mosley's current artworks discuss the 21st century media-driven society and its relationship to technology and nature. She depicts painted collages of people in their everyday activities surrounded by plant life with an interplay of pixelation and expressive brushstrokes. Mosley has won various awards, and has had works exhibited in national as well as international exhibitions; the most recent show, Perception, was in Gdansk with four other international artists also working on Loving Vincent.
Working in Poland on Loving Vincent was Charlene’s first time tapping into animation and an experience she will never forget, along with the enormously talented crew she got to befriend and work with.
