McKenzie Sutton

Sutton McKenzie is an undergraduate at the Maryland Institute College of Art working towards a BFA in Animation. Originally a die-hard painter she was wooed by animation after creating her first stop-motion painted short in 2013.

While finishing up her latest stop motion animated short “Paint” McKenzie stumbled across the Loving Vincent trailer online and read about director, Dorota Kobiela, who was, like her, also torn between painting and animation. Thinking Dorota’s solution to the problem was breath-taking she submitted an application and postponed her junior year at MICA to work on the film.
