The Greek premiere of Loving Vincent will be held at the Melitzazz cultural festival in Leonidio this month, and some of our Greek painters will be there for a series of special events.
As well as two studios in Poland, Loving Vincent was also painted in a studio in Athens in Greece, where 23 of our painting animators worked on the film. Nikos Koniaris and Polina Mavrikaki from the Greek team and Christos Marmeris from the Polish team will be demonstrating the techniques used to make the film at the festival inside a Painting Animation Workstation (PAWS) that will be set up in the Culture Factory. The demonstrations are programmed at 6th, 7th and 8th of July at 20:30.
Our painting animators will also host creative workshops for children (aged 6-12), introducing children to the art and life of Van Gogh. The workshops will take place in the Tower of Tsikaliotis everyday from 6th to 8th of July from 19:00-20:30.
The Greek premiere of Loving Vincent will take place on Friday, July 7th 2017 at 21:30 in the yard of the Culture Factory.
